Country Manager - Canada

As we expand into regulated markets, we are looking for an experienced iGaming professional to join our Regional Product team and oversee all activities related to the Canadian market. The successful candidate will also act as a leader and mentor for daily operations, supporting the country’s strategic goals.

Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of the execution of the brand strategy and identity in the Canada/Ontario market and lead the dedicated team in charge of this market’s product and commercial initiatives. You will also monitor financial results, player behaviors, and market insights to optimize strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the growth and optimization of the casino website targeting Ontario and the rest of Canada.

  • Define and communicate the local market/regional strategy, including commercial and product offerings for your assigned market, while continuously monitoring competitive positioning and future regulations.

  • Collaborate with various teams to define and communicate the local market strategy, marketing and brand strategy, and operational plans.

  • Work with the affiliate team to develop a marketing and brand strategy, ensuring an optimal media mix to drive mass-market player acquisition, provide a healthy ROI, and establish the brand. Extend market distribution via affiliate partnerships or media buying.

  • Lead all activities related to the market, providing daily strategic leadership.

  • Manage the dedicated team, product, and commercial initiatives to ensure targets are successfully met.

  • Oversee all marketing activities, developing market-led operational processes, reporting, and analytical requirements.

  • Monitor financial results, player behaviors, and market insights to drive optimization of strategy and tactical plans.

  • Manage and optimize the annual budget, assist with quarterly business reviews and revenue forecasting, and provide regular reports to the Senior Management Team.

  • Collaborate with the Product team across the full player journey, establishing effective continuous improvement initiatives to enhance acquisition, conversion efficiency, player onboarding, retention, and yield.

  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams while working closely with other Regional Directors/Managers, Product/Business Owners, and cross-departmental teams to capture and optimize synergies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in iGaming/Online Casino/Sports Betting.

  • Previous online marketing or country manager experience within the Canadian market.

  • A deep understanding of the Canadian mindset, having lived there or having thorough knowledge of the culture.

  • Experience working with remote teams across multiple time zones.

  • Ability to analyze data, act quickly, and drive change to achieve goals and targets.

  • Strong commercial acumen.

  • Excellent networking and influencing skills.

  • A proactive leader who leads by example.
