Amanda Wakefield

Amanda Wakefield is a Senior Scientist at Ventus Therapeutics since June 2022, bringing extensive experience in the field of theoretical chemistry and biochemistry. Amanda completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Theoretical Chemistry at Boston University from 2017 to 2022, preceded by a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Temple University, where Amanda also served as an Undergraduate Researcher, focusing on molecular dynamics related to integrin receptors. Prior roles include a PhD student at Boston University, an internship at the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) where Amanda developed a patient record database, and a web developer internship at OpenEye Scientific Software. Amanda's research contributions include creating a database for allosteric binding sites in G Protein-Coupled Receptors. Recognition includes the National ACS Computers in Chemistry Division Undergraduate Poster Award.
