Kathleen Nelson Romans

Kathleen Nelson Romans is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in business development and innovation across various sectors. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Principal at Verdant Insights Advisory since August 2024, Kathleen previously held the position of Director of Business Development at Carbon America from May 2022 to October 2024. At Eaton from February 2017 to May 2022, Kathleen led commercialization strategies and managed advanced technology programs as Business Innovation Manager in Corporate Research & Technology, and contributed to mechanical design in electric mobility. Kathleen's early career included roles as a Data Science Engineer, Production Engineering Intern at ConocoPhillips, and teaching assistant at Oklahoma State University, coupled with notable internships that enhanced engineering skills and expertise in both mechanical design and research. Kathleen holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
