Derek Smith

Derek Smith is a Junior Software Engineer at Tecuity, Inc. since July 2021, with prior experience as a Web Developer at the Utah Climate Center, where a data-driven frost forecasting tool for orchard growers was developed. At Utah State University, Derek contributed as a Software Developer at the Utah Transportation Center, enhancing software features and optimizing development practices. Additionally, mentoring skills were demonstrated while leading youth at Especially For Youth, and Derek played a key role in product development at Side By Side Rental LLC. A background as a volunteer religious missionary included organizing English classes for Mandarin speakers. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Utah State University.
