Doru Gherghiceanu

Doru Gherghiceanu is a seasoned drilling engineer with extensive experience in planning and operations within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Planning/Operations Drilling Engineer at Vermilion Energy since July 2018, Doru has previously held roles such as Night Drilling Supervisor and Operations/Planning Drilling Engineer within the same company. Prior to this, Doru worked at Black Sea Oil & Gas SRL as a Night Drilling Supervisor for a brief period, and at OMV Petrom as a Drilling Engineer and Night Drilling Supervisor, where significant projects included the Totea Project and various offshore and onshore wells. Doru holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universitatea Petrol-Gaze din Ploiești, completed in 2008.
