Tim Smeets

Tim Smeets is an experienced museum professional currently serving as Hoofd tentoonstellingen & collecties / conservator at Verzetsmuseum Amsterdam since December 2024. Previously, Tim held the position of conservator at Nederlands Openluchtmuseum from January 2019 to December 2024, focusing on collecting objects and stories related to the history of housing in the Netherlands. Tim co-founded Erfgoed Jong! in 2019, aimed at connecting young heritage enthusiasts, and held various roles at several museums, including Museum Van Loon and Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, where Tim conducted research on Dutch craftsmen. Tim earned a Master of Arts in Art History, Criticism, and Preservation from the University of Amsterdam between 2013 and 2016.
