Stephen J. Haggarty

Stephen J. Haggarty is currently a Scientific Advisor at Vesigen Therapeutics. Prior to this, they were a Research Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from October 2020 to March 2021, where they studied proteinopathies in rare kidney diseases. From January 2010 to September 2020, they were a Sr. Research Scientist at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where they led drug discovery programs to develop novel therapeutics for CNS disorders. Stephen has also mentored next-generation scientists including research assistants, visiting graduate students, and Harvard undergraduate students, summer interns.

Stephen J. Haggarty has a BS in Biochemistry from Nanjing University and a PhD in Biochemistry from UT Health San Antonio.
