Richard Lawton

Richard Lawton is an experienced music educator currently serving as a Music Teacher at Village School since July 2024, where duties include teaching general music to students from transitional kindergarten to sixth grade. In addition, Lawton has been a Field Supervisor and Adjunct Faculty member at California State University - East Bay since August 2020 and a Recorder Instructor for the Los Angeles Chapter AOSA since July 2019. Previous positions include Music Teacher roles at Carlthorp School, The Westland School, St. Expeditus Productions, Wonderland Avenue School, and Third Street School, showcasing a commitment to fostering musical education across various grade levels. Richard Lawton holds a Master's degree in Music from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television from New York University.
