Russ Fish is an experienced winemaker with extensive expertise in the wine industry. Currently serving as the Senior Winemaker at Vintage Wine Estates since July 2012, with responsibilities focused on the Hopland facility and Ray's Station Winery, Russ also operates as the Owner and Winemaker at Little Fish Wine Co. since January 2013. Previous roles include Assistant Winemaker at Kunde Estate Winery and Wattle Creek Winery, and a Harvest Production Enologist at Gallo of Sonoma. Early career experience includes positions as Production Manager and Brewmaster at Golden Pacific Brewing Co., and research roles at the University of California and U.S. Geological Survey. Russ holds a Master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology, a Certificate from the Master Brewers Program, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis.
