Irene Shin

Irene Shin serves as a Delegate for the 8th District in the Virginia House of Delegates since January 2022, holding key positions such as Vice Chair of the Communications, Technology and Innovation Committee and Subcommittee Chair for Counties Cities and Town. Additionally, Irene is a Member of the Board of Directors for the Sister District Project while concurrently serving as Executive Director for the Virginia Civic Engagement Table since December 2016. Irene holds a Board Member position for The Competitive Commonwealth Fund and has been involved with the Sister District Project as an Advisory Board Member from January 2022 to December 2023. Previous roles include Senior Director at Crowdpac, State Finance Director for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and Southern California Finance Director for Kamala Harris for Senate. Irene obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Riverside.
