Soumya Saha

Soumya Saha is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in system engineering, particularly within the Kafka and Hadoop ecosystems. Currently serving as a Staff System Engineer at Visa since December 2015, Soumya is responsible for maintaining critical Kafka clusters and participating in capacity planning for new production environments. Prior roles at Visa included Sr. Systems Engineer and Associate Systems Analyst, where Soumya focused on Hadoop platform maintenance. Soumya also has a strong background at RS Software, holding positions from Senior Software Engineer to Associate Software Engineer, emphasizing ETL and data quality in business intelligence projects. Earlier experience includes a part-time lecturing position at the Govt. College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology. Soumya holds a postgraduate certificate in Cloud Computing from The University of Texas at Austin and an Engineer's Degree in Information Technology from Netaji Subhash Engineering College.
