Derek Carr

Derek Carr is a legal expert with significant experience in health law and public policy. Currently serving as a Legal Technical Advisor for the States Overdose Prevention Program at Vital Strategies since November 2021, Derek previously held the position of Senior Attorney at ChangeLab Solutions, where responsibilities included providing legal technical assistance and strategic guidance on health equity-related issues. Derek's earlier roles include Staff Attorney, Legal Fellow, and Consultant positions with organizations such as FHI360 and the National Health Law Program, focusing on the development of legal frameworks and conducting research on the overdose crisis and Medicaid advocacy.
