Dr. Fariba Parsa

Vital Voices Visionaries 2023 Fellow at Vital Voices

Dr. Fariba Parsa is an accomplished academic and leader with extensive experience in language education, women's empowerment, and research on Iranian women and political leadership. Currently serving as a Vital Voices Visionaries 2023 Fellow and Farsi language instructor at Diplomatic Language Services, Dr. Parsa also founded and presides over Women's E-Learning in Leadership (WELL), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Iranian women through leadership skills and global connections. Additionally, Dr. Parsa has held roles as a Non-Resident Scholar at the Middle East Institute, an instructor at ICA Language Services, and an assistant research professor at George Mason University, where research focused on women's leadership education. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from Roskilde University and two postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University in Near and Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science.
