Leo Markou

Leo Markou has extensive experience in trading and asset management within the energy sector, currently serving at Vitol since June 2020. Prior to this role, Leo held various positions at Shell Trading from October 2006 to May 2020, culminating as Trading Team Lead, where responsibility included building and managing a team focused on less liquid markets, overseeing PnL delivery and position management. Leo's career at Shell also encompassed roles as Senior Trader, Trader, Prompt Trader, and Value Analyst, where skills in mentoring, innovative trading strategies, and optimization of gas and power assets were demonstrated. Leo holds a Master of Philosophy in Informatics from The University of Manchester and a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Patras.
