Karel Coenye

Karel Coenye currently serves as the Information Technology Program Manager and Team Lead for the Competence Centre Data at VLAIO since May 2020, where responsibilities include designing a BI platform and data framework. Concurrently, Karel holds the position of Data Infrastructure Architect at Vlaanderen connect. Previous experience includes roles at The Kingdom of Wizards as Inventor of Spells & Potions Master, and various positions at Kohera, ranging from Lead Innovation Wizard and Azure Team Lead to Data Scientist and Azure Data Platform Architect across different organizations. Karel's extensive background in data architecture includes significant projects at D'Ieteren, Resengo, Kinepolis, and others. Karel's career also features stints at Microsoft, Cegeka, and Ardatis, with a foundational education in Chemical Engineering from the University of Antwerp and Hogeschool Antwerpen.
