Henk Markerink

Henk Markerink is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership and management across various organizations. Currently serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board for Zadelhoff and Chairman for both Sportstad Heerenveen and VNO-NCW metropolitan region Amsterdam, Markerink also holds the position of Chairman of the Committee for the Amsterdam Museum. Notably, Markerink was the CEO of Johan Cruijff ArenA from 1995 to August 2021, overseeing its development from project manager to operational leader, and previously served as CEO of Amsterdam ArenA International. With a solid foundation in civil engineering obtained from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, Markerink's career spans management and advisory roles in several consulting firms and culminated with professional experience as a volleyball player.
