Ani has 15 years of experience in infrastructure investment. In her current role, Ani leads Macquarie Asset Management’s Digital Infrastructure business in Sydney, which manages investments in assets valued at over A$18 billion.
Ani joined Macquarie Group in 2016. She is a Senior Managing Director and leads the Digital Infrastructure team in Macquarie Asset Management, Sydney. While at Macquarie Group, Ani has led investments into key digital infrastructure assets including: $4.6 billion take private of Vocus Group, an Australian specialist fibre and network solutions provider; $3.0 billion acquisition of AirTrunk, an Asia Pacific hyperscale data centre platform; $1.4 billion acquisition of Western Australia’s land titles office; and $1.6 billion acquisition of South Australia’s land titles office and state valuation office.
Ani manages investments in, and sits on the Board of Directors of, a number of companies including: Vocus Group, AirTrunk, Land Services Western Australia, Land Services South Australia and Axicom. Prior to joining Macquarie Group, Ani worked with a number of other leading infrastructure funds in London and Sydney. Her focus was on the investment in, and asset management of, regulated utilities and transportation assets in jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, Finland, Spain, Budapest and Norway. Ani has also worked as a Portfolio Manager in the listed infrastructure space.
Ani holds a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from University of Sydney and a Master in Business Administration (High Distinction, Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
