Waverly Alston

Waverly Alston, Jr. currently serves as the Program Director at Volunteers of America, focusing on facilitating housing, legal, and health needs for returning citizens. In addition, Waverly is an Adjunct Instructor in the Music Department at the University of Valley Forge and an Outreach Minister at The Welcome Church, where responsibilities include teaching ministry groups and using music therapeutically. Waverly is also the founder of Waverly Alston Music, overseeing event coordination and consulting on community-focused musical events. Previous experience includes roles such as Program Manager for the Urban Affairs Coalition, social worker, and case manager, with a strong focus on assisting formerly incarcerated individuals. Waverly holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has extensive educational credentials in counseling, leadership, and urban ministry.
