Russatta Buford

Russatta Buford currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Ms. Foundation for Women since August 2022, bringing extensive leadership experience from previous roles including Chief Operating Officer and Interim Executive Director at DataKind and Senior Vice President of Operations at Global Health Corps. At Global Health Corps, Russatta Buford oversaw global operations and managed an $8 million budget, implementing innovative goal-setting and budgeting processes. Prior to these roles, Russatta Buford contributed to various organizations such as the Brooklyn Community Services Board of Directors, the Brooklyn Community Foundation as Director of Strategy & Operations, and Teach For America, where portfolio management and operational strategies were key focuses. Additional professional experience includes management positions at American Express Co. and Pro Bono consulting roles with Explore Schools and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Russatta Buford holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Marketing from the University of Michigan and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
