Derek Walker

Derek Walker, STSC, CHST, CSP, currently serves as a Senior Safety Manager at Barton Malow since March 2022, providing health and safety leadership and managing safety policies across national business units. Prior to this role, Derek held various safety positions at JE Dunn Construction from May 2015 to March 2022, including Senior Safety Specialist and Safety Specialist, where responsibilities included project-specific safety recommendations, managing safety teams, and overseeing safety programs. Derek's career began with two internships at JE Dunn Construction, gaining foundational experience in jobsite compliance and safety audits. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Technology from Murray State University.
