Shawn Kang

Shawn Kang currently serves in Corporate Development & Investor Relations at Waabi, a Series B autonomous trucking startup supported by Uber and Khosla Ventures, since October 2024, focusing on strategy, fundraising, finance, and special projects. Prior to this role, Shawn was involved in Strategic Finance & Business Operations at Covariant, a Series C AI robotics company acquired by Amazon in August 2024. Shawn's earlier experience includes working as a Technology Investor at Permira from 2021 to 2024 and as an Investment Banking Analyst at Moelis & Company from 2019 to 2021, where the focus was on technology M&A. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Singapore Management University's Lee Kong Chian School of Business, following completion of secondary education at Earl Haig Secondary School. Additionally, Shawn serves as a Board Observer at Lytx.
