Derek Gros is an experienced Electrical Designer currently employed at Waldemar S. Nelson & Co. since January 2012, focusing on electrical design projects for a gold and copper mine for Freeport in Indonesia. Prior to this role, Derek worked as a Drafting/Designer at the U.S. Department of Energy from September 2009 to November 2012, and as an E&I Designer at URS Corporation and Shell between June 2006 and July 2009. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in CAD/CADD Drafting and Design Technology, as well as an Associate of Science degree in Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University, where studies were completed from 1999 to 2004.
