Franz Knecht

Franz Knecht is an experienced professional specializing in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects across multiple sectors. Currently serving as a SNV-Delegate for ISO at the International Organization for Standardization since February 2016, Franz plays a key role in developing future standards related to environmental communication. Concurrently, Franz has been an advisor on sustainability reporting and product development at BLKB since 2005 and has provided external consultancy on ESG performance for the EKF of Denmark since 2012. Additional roles include principal consulting on ESG due diligence for Arcadis, and participation in various initiatives related to sustainable finance, including contributions to the UNEP Financial Industry Initiative and the Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen. Franz holds a degree from the University of Basel and has contributed to publications on CSR and finance.
