Norma Watenpaugh

Norma Watenpaugh is the CEO and Founding Principal of Phoenix Consulting Group, a firm specializing in collaborative business relationships since September 2002. Watenpaugh has been actively involved with the International Organization for Standardization as part of the US delegation for ISO 44001, promoting high-performing business relationships in collaboration with ANSI and ASAP since 2014. As a Global Advisory Board Member and former Chair of the Best Practices Committee at the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, Watenpaugh contributed to the development of the profession's first certifications. Additional board membership includes the Association for Strategic Planning, serving the US West Coast Chapter from 2020 to 2023. Watenpaugh has also provided advisory expertise to HR Tech Advisor, participated as Sr. Director of World Wide Partner Development at BEA Systems, and managed strategic alliances at Fujitsu and Oracle. Watenpaugh holds an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University and a BS in Physics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
