Leela Ramnath

Leela Ramnath serves as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Sustainability Strategy at Warburg Pincus LLC since January 2019, with additional roles as Head of ESG and Director of ESG. Leela also holds Board Member positions at Ownership Works and ClimeCo, and was a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations from July 2016 to December 2021. Previous experience includes leading Innovation and Sustainability at Tau Investment Management, a volunteer consultant role at TechnoServe focused on sustainability evaluations in East Africa, and serving as Vice President of Emerging Markets Sales at Barclays Capital. Leela's early career includes key positions at AIG, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and Financial Security Assurance. Educational qualifications include an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a B.S. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
