Elizabeth Lopez

Elizabeth Lopez is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in public defense and immigration law. Currently serving as a Deputy Public Defender for Washoe County, Nevada since September 2018, Elizabeth also provides legal services as an Immigration Attorney with Washoe Legal Services since April 2017. Prior roles include Staff Attorney positions at Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevadans and Access to Law Foundation, as well as an Associate Attorney at Joey Gilbert Law. Elizabeth began legal internships at the Latin American Association, Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network, and The Love Law Firm, following a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Economy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
