Michael Birch

Michael Birch is an experienced accountant currently working at Waste Connections since June 2024. Previously, Michael held the position of accountant at Scale CPA from November 2023 to October 2024 and served as an accounting manager at Decimal from August 2022 to November 2023. Prior to that, Michael worked at KPMG Spark, acquired by Decimal, from January 2019 to July 2022, where responsibilities included providing real-time bookkeeping services to business owners, alleviating their concerns about bookkeeping and tax compliance. Michael holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Utah Valley University, obtained between 2017 and 2019, and an Associate of Science from Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2015 to 2016.
