Chris Gell serves as the Technical Director at Waterman Group since January 2019, leading the Scotland Geotechnical Unit in delivering various geotechnical schemes across the Infrastructure, Energy, and Property sectors. Previously, Chris held positions such as Senior Associate Director and Associate Director at Waterman (Infrastructure and Environment), where responsibilities included overseeing geotechnical works and fostering client relationships. With experience as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Waterman Infrastructure and Environment and a Geotechnical Engineer at organizations like Scotland Transerv and Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd, Chris has contributed to numerous projects, including landslide investigations and the Glen Doe Tunnel Recovery Project. Educational credentials include an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from The University of Edinburgh.
