Ram Vellanki

Ram Vellanki is a Senior Software Engineer at Waymo since June 2020, leading a horizontal team focused on onboard planning and driving behaviors, including evasive maneuvers. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer role at Google from August 2018 to June 2020, where improvements were made to backend services for video ads using the Google Ad Manager platform. As Platform Lead for Cornell University Unmanned Air Systems from October 2015 to June 2018, Ram Vellanki developed a control interface for UAV camera operations. Additional experiences include serving as a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, a Software Engineering Intern at Google, an Instructor at iDTech, and a Research Intern at WINLAB. Ram Vellanki holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, obtained in 2018.
