Zhenyao Zhu

Zhenyao Zhu is a highly experienced software engineer with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Waymo since October 2019, Zhenyao specializes in self-driving car perception. Prior to this role, Zhenyao worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google from 2017 to 2019, contributing to Google Cloud AI/ML by aiding in the development and deployment of customized machine learning models. Zhenyao also has research experience as a Research Scientist at Baidu USA, where significant work included large-scale speech and speaker recognition. Notable projects include contributions to Deep Speech 2 and various publications in leading conferences.
