Joost de Bont

Joost de Bont currently serves as the Head of Sustainability at WE Fashion, a role held since February 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing the sustainability strategy with a focus on social, environmental, animal welfare, and climate improvements throughout the company's value chain. Prior to this, Joost de Bont was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Sociaal-Economische Raad (SER) from January 2020 to January 2022, managing account relationships for over 10 companies and leading assessments to ensure compliance with the Dutch Agreement on Sustainable Garments and Textiles. Additionally, Joost de Bont's extensive experience at de Bijenkorf spanned multiple roles from September 2006 to January 2020, notably as Sustainable Business Officer, where the sustainability strategy for Private Label and brand partners was developed and implemented. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business and Human Logistics from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
