Uwe Westermann

Uwe Westermann has extensive experience in strategic purchasing and procurement across multiple companies. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Purchasing at WEIDPLAS GmbH since January 2015, Uwe Westermann is responsible for developing purchasing strategies, managing procurement processes, drafting contracts from development to serial approval, negotiating prices for raw materials and investments, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Prior roles include Director of Strategic Purchasing at Weidmann Plastics Technology AG from May 2008 to December 2014, where similar responsibilities were undertaken, and serving as Head of Central Purchasing and Head of Purchasing at RIKU Riewer Kunststoff GmbH and Fritz Himmermann GmbH respectively, focusing on procurement leadership, supplier evaluation, and budget management.
