Tania Thomas

Tania Thomas is an experienced professional currently serving as the Graduate Coordinator for Student Engagement & Activities at Stony Brook University since September 2019. In this role, Tania oversees administration, advising, and leadership development for over 350 student organizations. Tania has also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Waste Data and Analysis Center, focusing on sustainable solid waste management in New York. Previous roles include work with the Center for Prevention and Outreach, analysis of groundwater data as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, and leadership as the Events Management Director for the Undergraduate Student Government. Additionally, Tania served as an Orientation Leader and Field Worker in campus safety. Beyond academic responsibilities, Tania promotes products as a YesStyle Ambassador and gained experience in youth leadership as a General Bunk Counselor at Camp Canadensis. Tania holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University, and an Advanced Regents Diploma from Floral Park Memorial High School.
