Matt Perry

Matt Perry is currently the Director at WESTCOAST CHILDRENS CLINIC. Prior to that, they were the Chief People Officer at Kapor Center from January 2016 to December 2021. There, they led a 10-year cost/benefit analysis plan to aid in investment decisions for system updates divided into sectors such as cyber security, networking, computing facilities and high-performance computing. Matt also saved up to $8M in costs over 10 years by analyzing future datacenter requirements, avoiding the need for an external site. Furthermore, they championed best practices among procurement staff through one-on-one/group training sessions on performance standards and operational processes. Lastly, they instilled a cultural atmosphere to promote diversity and colleague respect with a series of employee recognition projects, including “Voice and Value in IT” website, online “Spot Awards” and a division-wide information forum.

Matt Perry earned their Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from Columbia University and their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dickinson College.
