Amber Valdez

Amber Valdez, EdD, serves as a Senior Associate and Systems Transformation Specialist at WestEd, where responsibilities include providing collaborative, research-based capacity building to enhance educational outcomes for students. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Valdez Consulting Group, Amber specializes in systems change consulting, focusing on strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and leadership coaching. Previously, Amber held various leadership roles at the Oakland Public Education Fund, including Interim Executive Director and Programs and Evaluation Manager, overseeing strategic planning and managing services for a network of 50 public schools. Amber Valdez holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, along with a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from Mills College, and an Associate of Arts from Sierra College.
