Jenny Sarna

Jenny Sarna is a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in science education and instructional leadership. Currently serving as the Director of NextGenScience at WestEd since April 2020, Jenny Sarna supports educators in implementing rigorous science standards nationwide. Prior roles include Director of District Support at Achieve, Inc. and PK-12 Science Manager at Chicago Public Schools, where Jenny Sarna provided vision and guidance for science education. Additional experience includes positions as High School Science Specialist and IB/AP Biology Teacher at the American School of Pachuca. Jenny Sarna holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Chicago, a Master's degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame.
