Josh Carmouche

Josh Carmouche, MS, CEM®, CPP®, currently serves as a School Safety Technical Assistance Specialist at WestEd, focusing on enhancing school safety practices and policies. Simultaneously, Josh holds roles as an Adjunct Instructor in Criminal Justice at Texas State University and as Principal Faculty at City University of Seattle, where expertise in content and pedagogy is demonstrated. Previously, Josh managed the School Safety Readiness team at the Texas School Safety Center, ensuring compliance with safety standards across Texas. Experience also includes leadership positions in law enforcement, including Police Sergeant at the University of Texas at Austin and the Loyola University New Orleans Police Department. Josh holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans.
