Chad Mitchell

Chad Mitchell has extensive experience in the hard disk drive industry, holding various leadership and engineering roles since 1997. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of HDD CTO Innovation and Intellectual Property at Western Digital, Chad has a history of managing teams focused on recording electronics and R/W channel integration. Previous positions at HGST include Lead HDD R/W Channel Integration Engineer, where responsibilities involved task organization for integration engineering teams, and several roles centered on hardware integration and testing. Chad's career began at IBM, focusing on the development of Read/Write Channels for HDDs. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
