Sarah MacDonald

Sarah Macdonald, MPPA, currently serves as the Assistant General Manager for Communications & Customer Experience at Western Municipal Water District, a role held since May 2019. In this position, Macdonald manages comprehensive programs in communications, customer service, and external relations, focusing on enhancing the customer experience. Prior to this role, Macdonald was the Director of Strategic Communications at Western, overseeing media relations and community engagement. Their career also includes positions as Communications Officer for the City of San Marcos, Management Analyst for Yolo County Probation, Program Coordinator for the California Department of Education, and Corporate Brand Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Macdonald holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy & Administration from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
