Anthony Ball

Anthony Ball serves as Canon Rector at Westminster Abbey since September 2016, holding roles as Canon of Westminster, Rector of St Margaret's, and Canon Steward & Almoner, with responsibilities spanning visitor engagement, hospitality, charitable grants, and social outreach. In addition to these duties, Anthony Ball acts as Assistant Bishop for the Diocese of Egypt within the Episcopal/Anglican Church of the Province of Alexandria and has been Chair of Trustees for The Jerusalem & the Middle East Church Association since November 2016. Previous experience includes serving as Trustee for the United Westminster and Grey Coat Foundation and Embrace the Middle East, as well as roles in the Diocese of Chichester and the Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Anthony Ball's education includes a Master of Arts in Christian Theology from Heythrop College, an Advanced Diploma in Theological & Pastoral Studies, and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy & Politics from St Chad's College, University of Durham.
