Rex Stroup

Rex Stroup is an experienced professional in operational excellence, currently serving as Director of Operational Excellence at WestRock Company since February 2018, and also holds a position as Director of Operational Excellence at Smurfit Westrock since June 2020. Stroup is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and previously worked at Honeywell as a Field Service Specialist, where responsibilities included maintenance planning and quality control systems management. Additionally, Stroup served in the US Navy as an Aviation Electrician, managing junior personnel and achieving significant cost savings through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and an Associate of Arts from Gulf Coast State College.
