Jonathan Whitney

Jonathan Whitney is an experienced broadcast professional currently serving as Broadcast Director at WFTS-TV since August 2022. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked with Waterman Broadcasting Corp as a Newscast Director and Newscast Technician from January 2018 to August 2022. Jonathan's career in broadcast began at Daytona State College, where responsibilities included live sports production and running camera for athletic events from May 2017 to January 2018. Earlier positions included working as a Grip/Camera man for GatorVision at the University of Florida from January 2015 to April 2017 and serving as a Lifeguard while teaching swimming lessons at Daytona State College from June 2013 to December 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Production from the University of Florida and an Associate of Arts in Radio and Television from Daytona State College.
