Matthew Brown

Matthew Brown is an experienced television professional with expertise in directing and production. Currently serving as the Weekend Newscast Director at 7 NEWS, WHDH-TV since May 2017, Matthew oversees live weekend broadcasts, managing all technical aspects. Previous roles include Associate Director and Production Assistant within the same organization, contributing to various stages of newscast production. Matthew’s background also includes an internship at Finish Post Production, where responsibilities involved assisting in client services and VFX tasks, as well as management experience as the Managing Editor for The Suffolk Voice. An alumnus of Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Science in Film/Video Production, Matthew possesses a strong foundation in media production, enriched by various roles at the university and in the broader media landscape.
