Bayu Wicaksono

Bayu Wicaksono is an experienced underground mine surveyor currently employed at Whitehaven Coal since July 2023. Simultaneously, Bayu is pursuing a master's degree at The University of Queensland, which commenced in October 2022. Prior professional experience includes a role as a GIS Specialist at Thiess from March to July 2023 and a significant tenure at Vale, serving as Survey Section Head and Mine Survey Engineer from May 2015 to October 2022. Earlier positions include Senior Surveyor at PT Bumi Suksesindo and a long-standing role at Thiess Contractors Indonesia, where Bayu progressed from Graduate Surveyor to Senior Surveyor. Bayu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Geodetic from Universitas Gadjah Mada, obtained in 2005.
