Heather Cox

Heather Cox has extensive experience in the arts, currently serving as the Executive Coordinator for the Conservation Department at the Whitney Museum of American Art since 1998. Previously, Heather has held various roles at the museum, including Exhibitions Assistant/Operations Coordinator and Artist's Assistant. As a sculptor, photographer, and installation artist, Heather operates Heather Cox Studio since 1988. Other professional experience includes serving as a Collections Assistant at Polaroid, where responsibilities encompassed organizing a large photographic collection, and as Assistant Manager at Powell's Books, overseeing a team and operational management. Additionally, Heather worked as Gallery Manager at SF Camerawork, facilitating support for the nonprofit arts organization. Educational credentials include an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and a BA from Mills College, alongside participation in the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture.
