Jianming Yu

Mr. Yu is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of New Horizon Capital. Having led many of New Horizon Capital’s investments in healthcare, consumer products and services, and TMT since 2005, Mr. Yu has extensive investment management and fundraising experience. Prior to 2005, Mr. Yu held various stints at financial institutions as well as the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Yu has, since 2008, been awarded one of “China’s Best Venture Capitalists” by Forbes, one of the “Best VC/PE Investors” by ChinaVenture, and one of “China’s Top 10 PE Investors” by Zero2IPO. He is also vice-chair of the China Private Equity & Venture Capital Association and vice chairman of the Beijing Private Equity Association.

Mr. Yu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Tsinghua University, a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
