Catherine Dougnac serves as the Scientific Director of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Chile since September 2017, where responsibilities include designing, implementing, and promoting conservation programs, along with fostering research collaborations in Patagonia. Previously, Catherine held the position of Deputy Scientific Director and contributed to numerous academic roles, including teaching veterinary courses at Universidad San Sebastián and Universidad Santo Tomás.
