Omar Torrico is a Regional Conservation Technology Specialist for the Americas at Wildlife Conservation Society, with extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, climate change management, and territorial planning. Since April 2014, Omar has held multiple roles, including overseeing biodiversity and conservation efforts, supporting monitoring initiatives within the Madidi-Tambopata landscape, and providing technical guidance on climate change vulnerability and resilience. Prior to this position, Omar worked as a researcher and MSc student at TU Dresden and the Instituto de Ecología, focusing on Tropical Forestry and Management.
