Cara Ferrentino

Cara Ferrentino is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in urban planning, sustainability, and transportation systems. Currently serving as Senior Program Advisor at the William Penn Foundation since November 2016, Cara previously held the role of Transportation Systems Policy Manager for the City of Philadelphia, where contributions included the establishment and management of the Indego bike share program. Additionally, teaching sustainable transportation as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Drexel University, Cara's academic background is robust, including a Master's in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge, and two Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University. Previous roles also include sustainability coordination at Harvard Law School, a policy fellowship at the Massachusetts Port Authority, and research assistance at MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning.
