Nathan Kaplan

Nathan Kaplan is a Mechatronics Engineer at WindBorne Systems since August 2023. Prior to this role, Nathan served as a Mechanical Engineer and Product Owner on the R&D Team at CreateMe from August 2021 to January 2023, focusing on the prototyping, design, and construction of fabric manipulation robots. Additional experience includes a Robotics Engineering Internship at HDS Global, where Nathan developed end-of-arm tooling for grocery robots, and a summer internship at Mad Street Den, creating a tool for generating synthetic data for image generation AI. Earlier roles include teaching Design Thinking at The Nueva School and an internship at Blue River Technology, where Nathan researched Convolutional Neural Networks for seedling identification. Nathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, attended Stanford University for a summer quarter, and completed primary education at The Nueva School and the International School of the Peninsula.
